Pianist, composer and pedagogue.

He has been invited to perform at the main jazz festivals, has collaborated as composer, arranger, musical director and performer with many of the great names of classical music, “cançó”, jazz and rock, such as Lluís Llach, Raimon, Maria del Mar Bonet, Pi de la Serra, Núria Feliu, Marina Rossell, Elèctrica Dharma, Joan Manuel Serrat, Labordeta, Lucrecia, Montserrat Caballé, Joan Pons, Pegasus…, as well as with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona y Nacional de Cataluña OBC, the Orquesta del Teatre Lliure, the Sinfónica de las Islas Baleares Ciudad de Palma, the Sinfónica de Tenerife, the Orquesta de Vila-seca and the Orquesta Nacional de Andorra (ONCA).

He started out professionally in June 1970 with the Fusioon group in Barcelona. He thus embarked upon a five-year career that consolidated the group as leader of Symphonic Rock in Spain and what was undoubtedly the most highly acclaimed band our country has produced: Manel Camp, Santi Arisa, Martí Brunet and Jordi Camp .

His solo career began in 1984, with projects including the Manel Camp Trio, the duet with the classical pianist Ludovica Mosca, the duet with the jazz pianist “Kitflus”, the Acústic Jazz Quintet, the Manel Camp Quartet,  and the Fades, Banda Sonora, Tornassol, Mozart in Jazz, JZ Bach, Jazz Nadal, and Tangram shows.  

In 1985 he published his first solo piano album, Poesia secreta, thus initiating a personal career that has taken him to the most important jazz festivals.

He also participated in the Music For Spain 94 cycle in Boston; he opened the concert season of the House of Artists of Moscow and took his music to the International Conservatoire Week 2002 in Saint Petersburg.

He has been the musical director of the Aula de Música Moderna y Jazz de Barcelona and created the Taller de Música Moderna Esclat of Manresa, and has also given courses and seminars all over Spain.


He has published 40 records and has also authored numerous sound tracks.
